Check the leaf where the fruit is attached to the vine, if leaf is yellow fruit is mature. Melons will not ripen off the vine so check regularly to ensure fresh crop

Description

Tender flesh is salmon coloured and very sweet. An old, classic favorite dating from the 1920s, this ribbed melon has a heavily netted skin. Also called muskmelon.
