| Coco Pearl has multiple applications due to its basic formulation. Applications include hydroponic cultivation, ‘build a soil’ and seed germination. Hydroponic cultivation requires a continuous supply of a full-spectrum inorganic nutrient solution (EC between 1.5 and 2.5 mS/cm) to the plant roots. This is essential for plant growth if no additional amendments are added. The ‘build a soil’ application requires the addition of various amendments mixed into the Coco Pearl substrate according to the soil recipe used. Ensure thorough mixing of the Coco Pearl and amendments before allowing the new blend to mature and settle for 1-2 weeks before planting. If used for seed germination, make sure to add a full spectrum nutrient solution (EC 1.2 mS/cm) after seedling emergence to provide essential nutrients for growth. Coco Pearl coir has been sieved, buffered and washed to an EC below 1 mS/cm (EC). |
